Working Class Creatives Database X Print Social

Mock up of Estate Britain T-shirt Design. A white t-shirt with the words ESTATE BRITAIN printed on the front in black- the TATE part is the most recent Tate Gallery logo, with the rest of the text in a sans serif font similar to the one commonly used by the Tate.

I made this design to sell via Print Social to raise money for the Working Class Creatives Database- we needed to sell at least 15 to go to print and managed to exceed this target, which we were very pleased with. The design was inspired by a piece of graffiti near my old halls of residence in Camberwell which said ESTATE BRITAIN, and I decided to incorporate the Tate logo as a show of solidarity with all of my fellow working-class and low paid workers who were laid off by Tate Modern and Tate Britain at the start of the pandemic, whilst the higher management staff were busy posting holiday selfies on social media.

I may revisit and tweak this design in the future- I would like to improve the quality and play around with other Tate logos.
