My first design commission, commissioned by the Make Our Rights Reality campaign team.
I have been a Rights Advocate since around 2016/2017, campaigning for better mental health support for young people across the UK. As part of my work with them I spoke on behalf of the campaign alongside other Rights Advocates at the Labour Party conference in 2019, appeared on the BBC News at Six, was part of a group of young people consulted on the design and function of the new Rights Advocate online training hub, and helped to create the new manifesto for the campaign, which you can read here. Being asked to design this poetry anthology was an opportunity I jumped at as it gave me a chance to use my skills to promote something I am deeply passionate about, and give voice to other young people’s experiences through their poetry.
